Short Film News (SFN) - The 2nd Cyprus International Short Film Festival extended its deadline for submission to January 30, 2009.

The festival will be held in spring 2009 at North Cyprus and accepts short fictions and documentaries not longer than 30 minutes which completed after 1st of January, 2007.

The competitive section of the festival will be performed in fiction and documentary categories.

In fiction section best fiction short film, best script in a fiction short film, best editing in a fiction short film and best cinematography in a fiction short film awards will go to the winners.

The awards in documentary category are: best documentary short film, best environmental documentary, best editing in a documentary short film and best cinematography in a documentary short film prizes.

Also, fiction, experimental, documentary, and animation short films not exceeding 30 minutes can apply for the festival's non-competitive section.
