Short Film News (SFN) - Belgian director, Kadija Leclere won the top short film prize Saturday at the 4th International Dubai Film Festival (DIFF) closing ceremony.
She took the Gold Muhr Award for her short film Sarah, while the Silver Award went to The Water Guard by Emirati Waleed Al-Shehhi and Garbage by Tunisian director Lotfi Achour.
In documentary section, Karim Goury's Made in Egypt won the Gold Muhr Award, Silver Award went to Palestinian director Buthina Canaan Khoury for Maria's Grotto, and Shadow of Absence by Nassri Hajjaj's took the Bronze Muhr.
Lebanese feature film, Under the Bombs directed by Philippe Aractingi won top prize, beating off competition from two Tunisian movies.
The 4th International Dubai Film Festival which was opened 9 December, screened more than 140 films from 52 countries.
