Short Film News (SFN)- 73 films from about 50 countries were selected to compete in the 30th edition of Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival.

They are going to be screened in fourteen 95 minutes programs during 9 days. This year there is only one Iranian film in this festival.

Among 87 Iranian films sent to this festival, Snowy Day's Night by Danesh and Babak Salavati was selected.

England with 7 films, America with 4 films and Japan with 3 films have the most representatives in the most important short film festival in the world.

In the National Competition of the festival 65 French films were selected among 1300 received ones.

Lab Competition is another section of this famous festival in which, this year, 42 selected films from International and National Competitions will compete.

The 23rd edition of Short Film Market is going to be held along with this festival in which 2800 professionals including 320 directors and 305 producers will participate.

The 30th edition of Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival is going to take place from 1 to 9 February 2008 in France.
