29 Countries in Izmir Short Film Festival

Short Film News (SFN)- The 4th edition of Akbank Short Film Festival will be opened on Monday 3 December in Izmir, Turkey, and during this 10-day-festival more than 90 films from 29 countries would be screened.

Some films admired in international festivals such as Clemont-Ferrand, Cannes, Locarno, Rotterdam, Milan, Berlin, Sidney, and Sundance are going to be shown in the International section of this festival.

In the main competition 20 features and 10 documentaries from Turkey are going to compete and the jury includes 3 members.

Noise, by Babak Minaghi are going to be screened in the non-competitive section together with 11 other films from Turkey, Spain, England, etc.

The other section of this festival is for short animations in which 11 animations are going to be shown.

This year, in From Short to Feature section, a short film and a feature by two filmmakers: Dervis Zaim, the Turkish director and Virgil Vidrich, the Austrian director, are going to be screened and they would talk about their works with the audiences.

Also there would be two workshops about screenwriting and acting with the presence of two famous Turkish filmmakers.

The 4th edition of Akbank Festival is going to take place from 3 till 13 December.
