This event started whereas the city is still under the influence of the last week's election which results to the happiness of most people due to the victory of independence defenders of Kosovo from Serbia.

You can see the banners all over the city and most of the people do not know anything about this small student festival and love American films.

SKENA UP Festival is a festival includes variety of student works in film and theatre and every night it shows a feature film as a guest.

This year the festival dedicated to Mr. Faruk Begolli, the most famous film and Theatre director from Kosovo who died after a long battle with cancer this year.

Born in 1944 in the town of Peja, he was graduated at the Academy of Drama in Belgrade and was a key movie actor in the former six-republic Yugoslavia.

He returned from Belgrade to Kosovo in the late 80s and worked as a professor with Pristina University, Faculty of Acting and run the Dodona theatre.
