Short Film News (SFN) -The Opening ceremony of the 6th international short film festival of FIKE was held in University of Evora Auditorium last night.
One of the most outstanding figures in this ceremony was the Iranian filmmaker Kamran Shirdel who is a member of the jury in FIKE 2007.
The tribute will continue on Sunday and some of his films will be screened in this festival as their premiers. Castle, Tehran is the Capital of Iran and Solitude Opus 1 will be among Shirdel's short films that are going to be screened on 18th November.
In this edition of FIKE, "In The Mood" is the first competition film to be screened.
The last part of this opening ceremony was the rock concert of The Legendary Tiger Man aka Paulo Furtado and film screenings begins today.
Two workshops are among several programs organized in FIKE. One is "Entering the scene" the artistic development workshop on visual narrative directed by David Pope that will start on Monday morning at the Fabrica dos Leoes. The other will be the PODCAST workshop that its first meeting will be on Friday morning at University of Evora Auditorium
