Short Film News (SFN)- Mexican film, Watching It Rain (Ver Llover) by Elisa Miller won the Palme d'Or for Best Short film, tonight at the awards ceremony of the 60th Cannes Film Festival.
This is Miller's third film, and narrates the story of two teenagers live in a little Mexican town. Sofia wants to leave. Jonas has to decide whether to stay or leave with her.
Mark Albiston's Run from New Zealand and Grandma by Anthony Chen from Singapore got special mention from the Cinefondation - Short Film jury presided by Jia Zhangke.
The jury also presented Cinefondation 1st prize to Argentinean film, Ahora Todos Parecen Contentos by Gonzalo Tobal.
