Short Film News (SFN)- FIKE 2007 - Evora International Short Film Festival will take place from 16th to 24th November 2007 in Portugal.

Animation, documentary and fiction short films with total running time up to 40 minutes, produced after January 1st, 2005 are eligible for international competition.

Also, FIKE 2007 will have a special competition, in association with the World TAXI Festival Lisbon 2007, in cooperation with IVM - Institut pour la Ville en Mouvement (City on the Move Institute), under the theme of TAXI and urban mobility.

Films in the Special Competition will be presented in Lisbon at Franco Portugais Institut (20th to 22nd September, 2007) and in Evora, (16th to 24th November, 2007).

The registration for FIKE 2007 is open until June 30, 2007.

In addition to international and national competition's awards, the Jury from the International Federation of Film Societies will choose the Best Short-Film, to which will be awarded the Don Quijote Award, which guarantees the selection of the film for the International Festival of Film Societies, to take place in Italy on June 2008.
