Short Film News (SFN)- The 9th edition of Thessaloniki Documentary Festival will be held from 16 March - 25 March 2007 in Greece.

This festival, which is going to be held in Olympion Cinema Center, is the major annual documentary event in Greece.

The purpose of this festival is to introduce and to promote the most important documentary films from all over the world and to provide an international forum for the presentations and discussion of new experiences and the latest technologies in this industry.

It consists of different sections: Greek & Foreign Selection of current Productions, Retrospectives, Doc Market, Pitching Forum, Videoconferences - Workshop, Art Exhibitions.

To encourage the tourists to participate in this festival, this year, Greece government is going to consider some facilities for them such as discount in accommodations fares.

Deadline for all participants is 26 January 2007.
