Belgian Film Wins Best Short Film Award at Montreal Festival

Short Film News- Belgian director Xavier Diskeuve's Revolution won the best short film award at the 30th Montreal Film Festival.

Revolution is about a couple; Man works as a computer programmer for a big company and has a simple life with his wife, but a problem changes their life.

The World Competition jury presided by American actress Kathy Bates select this 18 minutes film as the winner of the first short film prize, while the Australian film, Checkpoint by Ben Phelps won the jury award.

Japanese film maker Eiji Okuda's The Long Walk and Brazilian Carlos Diegues' The Greatest Love in the World shared the Grand prix of the festival.

The best director award went to Norway's Hans Peter Moland for his movie Professor Pedersen.

Also, the jury of the First Fiction Film presented first award to Mexican film More than Anything in the World by Andres Len Becker and Javier Solar.

The 30th Montreal Film Festival held from August 24 to September 4 and featured films from 79 countries.
