52rd Oberhausen Festival Announced Winners

Short Film News - The winners in the  52rd  Oberhausen International Short Film Festival 2006, Germany, were announced.

 

The grand prize of the city of Oberhausen along with a cash prize of 7500 euros was awarded by the international jury to the film N12°13.062'/W001°32.619' Extended by Vincent Meessen.

 

Also in this category, 2 special prizes were given to Toi, Waguih by Namir Abdel Messeeh and Civil Status by Alina Rudnitskaya, with a cash prize of 3500 euros each. And ARTE Prize for a European Short Film went to Casio, Seiko, Sheraton, Toyota, and Mars by Sean Snyder.

 

The international jury also honored the following films with a special mention: El crucero by Juan Carlos Rulfo, Zakaria by Gianluca and Massimiliano De Serio, Me First by William Owusu, and Two Women and a Man by Roee Rosen.

 

In the 52rd edition of Oberhausen international film festival, the prize of the FIPRESCI (International Critics' Prize) was given to the French production, Toi, Waguih by Namir Abdel Messeeh.

 

The prize of the Cinema Jury in this festival went to Zakaria by Gianluca and Massimiliano De Serio, and prize of the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen to Hanne by Eva Magyarosi.

 

Also the prize for the best contribution to the German Competition went to the film Rien du tout by Maya Schweizer and Clemens von Wedemeyer.
