Short Film News (SFN) - A Swiss animation received the Grand Prize of the 49th International Festival of Documentary and Short Film of Bilbao (ZINEBI).

Le Printemps de Sant Ponc by Eugenia Mumenthaler and David Epiney won the Gold Mikeldi for Animation too, according to the International Jury decision.

In the animation category, Anhalter by Daniel Hopfner from Germany won the Silver Mikeldi, and Turelem by Laszlo Nemes from Hungary and Kramasha by Amit Dutta from India received the Silver and Gold Mikeldi, respectively, in the Fiction category.

The Gold Mikeldi for best documentary went to Familia 068 by Ruben Margallo and Toni Edo, while Retro Vision by Mauricio Godoy received the Silver Mikeldi.

The Grand Prize for Basque Films was awarded to Footnotes to a House of Love by Laida Lertxundi and the Grand Prize for Spanish Films went to El Nino y el Mar directed by Tito Molina.

ZINEBI festival was held from 26 November to 1 December.
